Shipping & Returns
Please DO NOT use fictitious phone numbers on the system as a contact number is required by the carrier should the need arise during delivery - we reserve the right to cancel an order without notification.
Please also note that shipping rates for most items are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next part of/full kg. We reserve the right to charge extra for heavy items.
SILKS - UK ONLY - Same or next day dispatch on in-stock orders placed before 11 am (Mon - Thur).
SAMPLES - UK – 2nd class via Royal Mail.

Tracking, when available, will be added to your order - log into your account to check progress.
Most Silk is sent via UPS Courier. All orders are tracked and insured and a signature required on delivery.
GIFT VOUCHERS - are delivered by email either to your recipient direct or to yourself to print and hand deliver. Simply enter the Gift Vouchers unique code into your shopping basket when purchasing from the website...it's that simple!

Please note we are unable to accept returns on items which have been made especially for you, items that have been cut to order such as fabrics, or orders of wallpaper.
SILKS - Returns are accepted for any faulty James Hare Fabric within 14 days.
Please note - James Hare Silk can only be returned if it has been uncut and not altered or marked in any way by you or your designer - It is your responsibility to check you are happy with the fabric BEFORE proceeding with your project.
GIFT VOUCHERS - are a non-refundable product.
RIGHT TO CANCEL
1 You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
2 The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day:
- of the conclusion of the contract, in the case of a service contract or a contract for the supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium;
- on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods, in the case of a sales contract;
- on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good, in the case of a contract relating to multiple goods ordered by the consumer in one order and delivered separately;
- on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last lot or piece, in the case of a contract relating to delivery of a good consisting of multiple lots or pieces;
- on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the first good, in the case of a contract for regular delivery of goods during a defined period of time.
3 To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us Silks & Crystals Ltd, of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (a letter sent by email).
Please use the attached model cancellation form for guidance.
If you electronically fill in and submit the model cancellation form or any other clear statement on our website we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (by e-mail) without delay.
4 To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
5 Where the purchaser is B2B there is no right of return unless the goods are deemed faulty.
6 James Hare Silk can only be cancelled or returned if it has been uncut and not altered or marked in any way by you or your designer or other 3rd party - It is your responsibility to check you are happy with the fabric BEFORE proceeding with your project.
EFFECTS OF CANCELLATION
7 If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
8 We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
9 We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than:
- 14 days after the day we receive back from you in perfect condition any goods supplied, or
- (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or
- if there were no goods supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.
10 We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
11 In the event of cancellation we will withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back in perfect condition (where we have not offered to collect the goods) or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
12 You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us at the address we supply to you by return email following your decision to cancel, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.
13 You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods by insured and tracked means – any damage caused by the carrier is your responsibility and the only way to cover this is by insured transit return.
14 You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
SERVICE CONTRACTS BEGUN DURING CANCELLATION PERIOD
15 If you requested to begin the performance of services during the cancellation period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been
performed until you have communicated to us your cancellation from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
