Measuring Tools

Measuring tools in sewing are very important to achieve the perfect fit and shape of any garment or home furnishing project. You will need to measure seam allowances, hems and other markings. Pattern instructions of projects might only give you the measurements for a rectangular piece and you will need to be able to measure that out.

You may not need all of these tools in your sewing kit right away but some essentials are Measuring Tape, Clear Ruler, Quilting Ruler, Sewing Gauge, Meter Stick, French Curve, Flexible Curved Rule, Tailors L Square...depending on your project.
