The Kashmiri Silk Fabric by James Hare is a pure silk basket-weave Matka Fabric. The fabric looks like linen with its matte surface but has the advantage of little creasing.
Inspired by the diaries of female Victorian travellers, who criss-crossed the world in a corset! They recorded their adventures through painting, drawing and photography incorporating the colours and textures of plants, patterns and vistas from destinations including Siam, Ceylon and Java. In 1865, at the same time in England, James Hare was laying the foundations to his textile company.
