Kashmiri Silk Fabric by James Hare is a pure silk basket-weave Matka. A glamorous addition to an already extensive collection of stunning fabrics. The fabric looks like linen with its matte surface but has the advantage of little creasing.
Inspired by the diaries of female Victorian travellers, who criss-crossed the world in a corset! They recorded their adventures through painting, drawing and photography incorporating the colours and textures of plants, patterns and vistas from destinations including Siam, Ceylon and Java. At the same time in England in 1865, James Hare was founding his textile company.
A natural colour palette of sophisticated shades with a distinctive handle. The fabric is ideal for curtains, upholstery, blinds, lampshades, cushions, wallcoverings and other decorative detailing.
Voyager and Persia collections coordinate beautifully with this stunning silk fabric.
